Have you met Spaulding? “Spaulding” is the cute, new, little puppy that lives in Library Square! He is a durable sculpture that can withstand any type of weather conditions. He loves attention, especially if it involves children petting him and riding on his back! Spaulding, made of bronze and limestone, was created by artist Heidi Hoy of St. Bonifacius, MN. Spaulding is part of the 2013 Sculpture Stroll presented by the City of Hutchinson Public Arts Commission.
There are six sculptures currently on display:
Percussion II – West River Park
Spaulding – Library Square
Slow Dancing – NE corner of Main and 1st Ave
The Plunge – North end of pedestrial bridge west of Adams St
Cosmic Story – Riverside Park
Observance- Hassan St SE near City Hall
These original world-class sculptures by regional artists will be on display for one year. The sculptures are owned by the artist and loaned to the exhibit. Stop by our main bank lobby to pick up a brochure prepared by Hutchinson Public Arts Commission.
