Let’s catch up with another one of our past Queen Candidates, Courtney Orwoll, who ran in 2008:
I am currently living in Montrose, MN with my husband Jeremy and 7 month old son, Mason! Since running for Miss Hutchinson I have graduated from college, got married, and started a family. I recently opened Amazing Grace Boutique in downtown Hutchinson. My mom and I own it together. It is so exciting to be back in Hutchinson! One thing I loved about running for Miss Hutchinson was being so involved in the community and getting to meet so many new people! It really made me realize how great of a community we have and how supportive our town is; which is one of the many reasons I opened my boutique here.

Brittany Witte ran for Miss Hutchinson in 2010 and was CB&T’s candidate. Let’s see where she is now:
I am currently working for a private family foundation in Fargo, North Dakota. The Barry Foundation does proactive grantmaking throughout the region with a strong interest in education. Much of my time is spent running our Philanthropy and Youth program, where we partner with 20 local high schools to conduct an extra-curricular grantmaking experience. I have the great privilege of instilling a philanthropic spirit in almost 500 young leaders!
This year is a big transition year for me–toward the end of August I will be moving to Grand Forks, North Dakota to follow a lifelong dream of being a financial planner. I am currently studying for my investment and insurance licenses, and look forward to an exciting career with Thrivent Financial as a Financial Representative. I’m also getting married in November!
Running for Miss Hutchinson taught me to push myself outside of my comfort zone! I have continued to find that my greatest accomplishments, and the amazing accomplishments of others, tend to happen when pursuing opportunities that force you to grow and develop new skills.

Every wonder where our previous Hutchinson Jaycee Water Carnival Queen Candidates are and what they are up to? We do!
Here’s what Jennifer Froemming, our 2007 Queen Candidate, is up to these days:
In 2007, I ran for Miss Hutchinson, and was privileged to represent Citizens’ Bank and Trust Co. While a candidate’s time is short-lived, the experience holds memories that last a lifetime! You truly feel like royalty, and get to know so many wonderful Jaycees. To this day, I am still in contact with many of the friends I gained through this experience. Running for Miss Hutchinson also opened my eyes to how proud the residents of Hutchinson are of their town. Although Hutchinson will always be home to me, I now reside in Grand Forks, ND with my fiancé, Tyler. I have lived here for almost three years. I graduated from Concordia College in 2009, and have been teaching since at various schools. Recently, I was hired as the Lead Elementary Teacher at Grand Forks Montessori Academy. Music is still a big part of my life too. I am in a country cover band called Jacked Up. Most of our gigs are in the Red River Valley area. If you are interested in following us, check out our Facebook page, Jacked Up Country, or Twitter, @jackeduplive. To all the future candidates, good luck, and remember to have fun! Jenny Froemming
