Open Streets Hutchinson
Are you ready to eat, move, connect and explore Hutchinson? Open Streets Hutchinson is a new event this year that encourages community activities, recreation and fun in Hutchinson. The event will be held on Saturday, September 26th, 10am-3pm. Open Streets will close a section of 3rd Avenue NW along the Luce Line State Trail. This area will be closed to automobile traffic and will allow the street to be open for people to enjoy coming together as a community and being active with each other. The street will be open for you to explore by foot, bicycle and skate traffic. There will be several programmed recreational activities for all ages along the street.
If you are interested in participating in Open Streets as a vendor or participant, check out Heart of Hutch’s website for more information, a schedule of events and a map of activities that will be available.
Paint the Town Purple
This week we decorated Citizens Bank with purple ribbons in the windows and hung them outside to show our support for local cancer survivors. The idea started a few years ago by our community because they wanted to show their support of the local Relay for Life event and cancer survivors. They chose purple because it is the universal “color” designated for all types of cancer. There are several businesses that have decorated their windows in purple to also show their support.
On Monday, August 3rd, there was Music in the Park in Library Square Park where they also hosted a Survivor Celebration. Show your support by attending Relay for Life of McLeod County’s event on Friday, August 7, at the Masonic West River Park in Hutchinson. The auction and activities will begin at 3:00 p.m., live music at 5:00 p.m., and the program at 6:30 p.m. This free community event includes activities, games, and touching tributes to cancer warriors from around our county and beyond. Make sure you walk the luminaria lined path.
If you are interested in building your own team of fighters for a cure, please contact Penny at 320-582-2493. Or perhaps you’d like to support Relay for Life of McLeod. Donations of any kind are accepted. Donations of $250 are recognized at and during their event. For more information, please contact Niki at 320-582-1054.
CB E-Checking Account
Did you just start your first summer job? Graduating from high school? Now is a great time to open your first checking account at Citizens Bank & Trust!
CB E-checking is a great checking account to start with. The account has no monthly minimum balance to maintain and gives you all the convenient services you’ll need.
To open a new checking account, you may stop by our Main Street or South location. You’ll need to bring a parent or guardian with you if you are under the age of 18. Also, bring your driver’s license or MN ID card and social security number. You will be asked other questions, like your cell phone number and your mother’s maiden name. The Bank will need to verify your ID information and can continue the opening process if everything is approved.
Your deposit to open the account needs to be $50 or more. Please allow 30-45 minutes to open an account so the Customer Service Representative is able to answer your questions, help you with CB Online Banking, e-statements and mobile banking.
Stop by and see Cindy, Laurie, Lori or Steph. They will be happy to open your first account with Citizens Bank & Trust.
