Karen Stowell is receiving a service award for 25 years with Citizens Bank & Trust. She started working at Citizens Bank in 1973, under the Office Education Program through her school. In June of 1974, she started working full time at the Bank as a bookkeeper and teller. In 1979, she left the Bank to move to Beaufort, SC with her husband who was in the Marine Corp. In 1987, she was hired back at Citizens Bank and worked as a teller and later became the Safe Deposit Box Attendant.
If you have ever wondered who’s behind the phone when you call the Bank, Karen is one of the employees to answer the phone. She is also the one of the first ones to greet customers when they come in to the Bank.
Karen is married to Gordy Stowell. She has two sons, Jered and Brian (married to Gina). She has one granddaughter Kayla. Karen enjoys spending time with her family and dog Rocky.
