The I.J. Burich Family Foundation is excited to announce a donation to the Hutchinson Public Library, which helped create new vibrant spaces and program funding for young people in the community. The donation helped enhance the library’s offerings for teens and children, creating an inviting, comfortable environment for learning and engaging in creative activities.
A Dedicated Space for Teens
Thanks to the I.J. Burich Family Foundation's contribution, the library has transformed a section of the building into a welcoming teen space. This area now features an assortment of board games, providing a fun, interactive environment where teens can come together to relax and connect. Whether it's for casual gaming, studying, or socializing, this space has become a wonderful place for local teenagers. New modern furniture was purchased to make the space not only functional but comfortable, making it an ideal place for teens to spend time after school or on weekends.

A Fresh Look for the Children’s Area
Funds were also put towards revamping the library’s children’s space, creating an even more inviting area for younger readers and families. The space has received a much-needed update with new tables and chairs designed to be both comfortable and practical for children of various ages. To make the area even more cozy, soft seating has been added, encouraging children to settle in with a good book.
The donation from the I.J. Burich Family Foundation is a testament to the foundation's commitment to supporting our local community. With these updates, the library is better equipped to serve the needs of the younger generation, providing a safe, creative, and enriching space where they can learn, grow, and have fun.
