Women in Business Spotlight: Dr. Chelsi Schumacher, Echo Family Dental
For Dr. Chelsi Schumacher, owning a dental practice is about more than caring for patients’ smiles. It’s about the relationships built along the way and being part of a community where people genuinely care about one another.
As we continue celebrating National Women’s Small Business Month, we’re highlighting Chelsi, owner of Echo Family Dental in Hutchinson.
Chelsi joined the practice in 2016 and became its sole owner in 2023. Her interest in dentistry began in high school, and she always hoped to one day own a practice where she could create an environment that reflected her own approach to patient care.
Today, one of her favorite parts of being a business owner is seeing those relationships extend beyond the dental office.
“I love seeing patients at daycare, my kids’ school, church and out shopping. Often building trust and relationships occurs outside of the practice,” Chelsi shared.
She’s also grateful for the generations of families who have trusted Echo Family Dental with their care and the dedicated staff who have helped carry on the practice’s history.
Being a small business owner has given Chelsi an even greater appreciation for supporting other local businesses. Whether it’s finding services, shopping for staff gifts or simply choosing to do business locally, she understands how much those everyday decisions matter.
Looking ahead, Chelsi is excited to welcome Dr. Wesley Sanderson to the practice and watch him build his own relationships with patients and the community.
And as a mom of two daughters, Chelsi hopes her journey encourages other women and young girls to pursue their goals, even when they feel out of reach.
“I would want them to know that they can do hard things,” she shared. “Give yourself permission to take risks and give yourself grace in the journey.”
We’re proud to recognize Chelsi and the care, commitment and personal connections she brings to our community through Echo Family Dental.
