Glencoe Regional Health Services Foundation is grateful for a recent donation from the I.J. Burich Family Foundation to support the purchase of new patient monitoring equipment for the urgent care triage area.
The grant funded essential monitoring equipment used for both adult and pediatric patients. This technology continuously tracks vital signs such as oxygen saturation, pulse rate, non-invasive blood pressure, and temperature. It includes a smart alarm feature that allows clinical staff to manage alerts more effectively reducing the unnecessary “beep, beep” sounds while still notifying medical teams when immediate attention is needed. These monitors play a critical role in patient safety and timely clinical response.
“Many people want to stay close to home for their healthcare needs, and this equipment helps make that possible,” said Liz Cheney, CFRE, Foundation Director at Glencoe Regional Health. “We are so grateful to the I.J. Burich Family Foundation for recognizing the importance healthcare plays in our communities and supporting this critical need.”
Additional grant funding from the Southwest Initiative Foundation, through a partnership with the Otto Bremer Trust and its Community Responsive Fund, also helped expand access to this monitoring equipment across the facility.
Support from these organizations strengthens local healthcare services and helps ensure patients receive high-quality care close to home.
