As we continue highlighting the Citizens Bank & Trust Co. employees who helped complete the Born Learning Trail at Rotary Park, we’re featuring Mallory Johnson.
For Mallory, volunteering is rewarding because it’s an opportunity to use her time and effort to make a difference for someone else.
“I enjoy the rewarding feeling of volunteering in our community and knowing that my time and effort can make a difference for someone else.”
One of Mallory’s favorite parts of working on the Born Learning Trail was seeing everyone’s creativity come out and thinking about the kids who will get to enjoy the finished trail.
“It was fun to see my coworkers’ artistic abilities come out and to think that the kiddos will love this.”
The project also gave the team a chance to step outside of their normal workday, spend time together and work toward a common goal.
“We had a fun afternoon getting out of the workplace, using our creativity and working together to make our community a better place.”
Mallory sees the Born Learning Trail as a great addition for Hutchinson families and believes giving back is about taking the time to help others and make a positive impact when the opportunity comes.
She also believes community involvement is an important part of being a hometown bank.
“It’s important for CB&T to be involved and give back to our community because it helps build relationships and shows that we care about the people we serve.”
