As we continue highlighting the Citizens Bank & Trust Co. employees who helped complete the Born Learning Trail at Rotary Park, we’re featuring Erica Witte.
For Erica, volunteering is an opportunity to give back to the community that supports our families, businesses and neighbors.
“It is rewarding to contribute to projects that make a positive impact on others.”
One of the things Erica enjoyed most about the Born Learning Trail was helping create a space that encourages learning, movement and family interaction and seeing the project come together knowing it will benefit local children and families.
She believes projects like the trail give families a fun and accessible way to learn and spend quality time together while supporting early childhood development and strengthening connections within our community.
The project also provided an opportunity to connect with coworkers in a different setting.
“My favorite part was working alongside coworkers outside of our normal work environment. It was a great opportunity to collaborate, build relationships and contribute to a common goal together.”
For Erica, giving back means investing time and effort into making our community a better place, while creating opportunities for others.
She also believes being involved locally reflects the values of Citizens Bank & Trust Co.
“Community involvement demonstrates our commitment to the people and communities we serve. It helps build stronger relationships, supports local initiatives and reflects our organization’s values.”
