Citizens Bank & Trust Co. and the I.J. Burich Family Foundation each donated $75,000 toward the new grandstand at Veterans Memorial Field. The $700,000 project was made possible through generous support from individuals, businesses and foundations across the community.
The former grandstand had become outdated and structurally insufficient. Construction began last September and wrapped up just before the 2024 high school baseball season. The new facility includes 270 seats, a press box and stadium chairs located in the center section making it the perfect setting for the 2025 State Amateur Baseball Tournament.
As part of MBA Community Impact Month, CB staff will be volunteering at the tournament, continuing our commitment to supporting the community!
