Citizens Bank & Trust Co. had the opportunity to be a part of the Hutchinson High School Occupational Mentorship Program. The program allows students to gain and share insight into a career in banking by shadowing employees for 40 hours. We had two students job shadow bank employees to provide them real life experiences, tools, connections, and advice for entering the workforce.
Ben Beckman and student mentee, Grant Kropp met with Erika Kellen, co-owner of The Wine Lounge in Hutchinson. She gave us a tour of the new business, shared their journey of opening a new business and discussed the loan process she went through with CB&T.
Student mentee, Audrey Hanson worked on a social media project with Mandy Baldry. Together they created two videos for the Citizens Bank's Facebook and Instagram page. They chose two topics, created scripts and videos. See our Facebook or Instagram page to view the videos about "Instant Balance" and "Student Checking Accounts".
The Occupational Mentorship Program allows the bank to give back to the community and an opportunity to inspire students and possibly make a connection for potential employment opportunities in the future.
