Early yesterday morning, the Social Media Breakfast was chirping with conversations about Twitter, Social Media, and implementing it in YOUR workplace. The monthly meeting, held of the 4th Thursday of each month, featured a topic of How to Use Twitter. The discussion was led by Steve Gasser of Vivid Image. He suggested “Twitter conversation is like a cocktail party. It should be short, concise, and to the point.” Contrary to the longer posts on Facebook, Twitter only allows 140 characters in each post. We also learned other “Twitter jargon” and then discussed practical ways to use Twitter to promote your business. While Citizens Bank is not yet on Twitter, some of our employees are. We hope to learn more about “re-tweeting“, direct messages, and #FF (follow Friday) in the next few weeks to see how we can best use Twitter. Not yet a Twit? Sign up! Then, share with us your “Twitter handle” and favorite “hashtags”.

It’s a great opportunity to share a little bit about our city, banking, restaurants, newspapers, and construction with these children. CB has partnered with Park Elementary for the last three years.
