Where is “Spaulding”?

IMG_20130718_160450Have you met Spaulding?  “Spaulding” is the cute, new, little puppy that lives in Library Square!  He is a durable sculpture that can withstand any type of weather conditions.  He loves attention, especially if it involves children petting him and riding on his back!  Spaulding, made of bronze and limestone, was created by artist Heidi Hoy of St. Bonifacius, MN.  Spaulding is part of the 2013 Sculpture Stroll presented by the City of Hutchinson Public Arts Commission.

There are six sculptures currently on display:

Percussion II – West River Park
Spaulding – Library Square
Slow Dancing – NE corner of Main and 1st Ave
The Plunge – North end of pedestrial bridge west of Adams St
Cosmic Story – Riverside Park
Observance- Hassan St SE near City Hall

These original world-class sculptures by regional artists will be on display for one year.  The sculptures are owned by the artist and loaned to the exhibit.  Stop by our main bank lobby to pick up a brochure prepared by Hutchinson Public Arts Commission.

Also, Check out the Hutchinson Sculpture Stroll on Facebook!

Thank you Vern!

One of the things we are so very thankful for is our committed, long-term, loyal employees.  In June, one of them decided it was time to give it a rest.   Vern Hagen has been with Citizens Bank for 32 years serving in full and part-time custodial and maintenance roles.  We are honored to formally send Vern Hagen off to enjoy his retirement years.  Here are a few pictures from the celebration we held this week to honor him.VernRetire8  Thank you VERN!VernRetire12 VernRetire14 VernRetire15 VernRetire22 VernRetire23 VernRetire25 VernRetire30

Not just satisfied customers.

“With everybody offering the same perks, the biggest difference between one financial institution and another has become the people who work there, making service the only true differentiator.”

In an article written by Shep Hyken, featured in The Deluxe Knowledge Quarterly, we found this quote about financial institutions.  Although the playing field seems relatively stable with little product differentiation, we try to stand out on service.  As Hyken states, “Delivering better service once isn’t difficult.  Delivering it every time is.”  That’s why we’re here to help you.  We want to be sure that you receive not only a customer-friendly bank experience, but an exceptional one, every time.  Whether you are in our lobby, drive through window, online banking, or closing on a mortgage loan, the difference here at Citizens Bank is the people.  We don’t just strive for satisfied customers.  We strive for a satisfying customer experience, every time.

Thank you for banking with us!
